I have been very “busy” (travelling) these days so I don’t have enough time to write in this blog. Anyway, almost 3 weeks ago (hope the story is not expired yet *grin*) I went to the International Goyang Holticulture Festival at Ilsan Lake, Gyeonggi-do. The festival held yearly and this year started from April 26 to May 13. Yeah I know.. my bad! The festival is over now.. but cheer up!! You can go around that date next year ^^
I traveled with one of my friend. I like to travel with her since we have the same interest of travelling, taking pictures and being in a picture :D What happen is I usually take her picture and then otherwise, LOL. Narcissism never die! Well back to the topic, we went there by subway to Jeongbalsan Station, Seoul Subway Line #3. We got out from Exit #1 and walked straight through Ilsan Cultural Park untill we saw the ticket booth for the festival. The good thing about being foreigner in Korea is you will get sooo many special benefits. In this case there is special discount for foreigner so I pay only 8,000 won for the entrance fee from the normal price of 10,000 won..nice!
The weather was so hot that day! It really feels like summer! The sun was shining so bright but too bad I didn’t bring my sunglasses. I walked through the bridge and soon I saw colorful tulips! I took so many pictures of it.. red, yellow, pink, blue, purple, white.. all tulips were there and in the middle of tulips field there was a small windmill. It’s so cute and somehow make me feel I was in mini Holland ^^ I pose in so many different tulips,kkk.. There was a cute sphere flower that stand out among others. I love it so much and took thousands pics of it. I don’t know exactly the name but it’s like mountain flower..
After finishing our tulips photo session, we walked to the left wing of the park. Thousands of tulips were there too and also there was a rose garden. The garden was so lovely.. I wish I have them in my home :) Roses in Korea are huge with so many colors. We spent almost 3 hours and realized that it’s getting dark.. We are moving to the right wings of the park and found great giant flower artworks. There was green Hulk, Popeye the Sailorman, Dinosours of Jurrasic Park and others.. all were made from flowers. Near that area there was International Exhibition Hall displaying flowers from so many countries. We walked fast because the time was up and they were almost closed. We regret for not coming earlier to enjoy every part of the flower exhibition. However I am quite satisfied with pictures that I took.. hope you enjoy it too :) and here is more information about this flower festival
